About Bed & Bounty

Bed & Bounty exists because of a gap we kept running into. There is no shortage of gardening content, and almost none of it sequences the purchase. Sites publish a roundup of raised beds, a roundup of compost bins and a roundup of greenhouses, and never connect them -- so a first-time gardener is left to work out on their own that the soil costs more than the bed, or that a greenhouse is the fifth thing to buy rather than the first.

This site is organized as a sequence: bed, soil, seeds, compost, greenhouse. Every page ends by naming the next purchase, and every section says plainly when you should skip something.

Janet H. is the hands-on owner behind Janet Media Group. She researches and selects the gardening kit featured on Bed & Bounty.

That is the whole author bio, and it is deliberately the whole author bio. We do not claim a horticulture degree, a master gardener certification, a number of years growing, or a count of gardens built, because none of those things has been established. Competitors in this niche do have those credentials and say so. We compete on something else: transparency about method, quality of sourcing, currency, and whether the page actually helps you decide.

• Claim to have tested products. We run no lab and no trial garden. Every recommendation comes from published specifications and independent sources, and we say so on the page rather than implying otherwise.
• Invent prices, ratings or review counts. There is no live price data on this site, so every buy button reads “Check price on Amazon” rather than quoting a number that might be months stale.
• Publish testimonials. We have none, so there are none on the site.
• Let commission decide a ranking. Where the cheaper product is the better buy, that is what the page says.
